Hi, I'm Kevin: a UX & game designer working at Relic.
I create engaging experiences, cohesive game mechanics, and usable interfaces. Here's some
of my work.
I led NHL 16's UX design, focusing on improving the efficiency of key tasks while designing game modes and features to fit into a tile-based interaction model.
I was responsible for the UX design of the entire front-end menu system, game modes, and in-game elements.
After joining the team near the end of NHL 14's development, I took it upon myself to solve a big design problem: the main menu's organization.
While on the EA SPORTS Online team, the Tiger Woods 13 team approached us with a request to create a web feature. The Country Clubs feature allowed people to form online clubs to earn in-game coins faster and run time-sensitive tournaments.
I was tasked to create wireframes for an EA SPORTS Arena microsite. The purpose of this page was to drive conversions of people who sign up for Virgin Gaming, the partner site.
Hootin is a game prototype created in about 5 weeks for IAT410: Advanced Game Design. We started by defining a concept, moodboard, and experience, then we prototype and tested our game iteratively.
Merby is a flash game that was created in about 4 weeks for IAT410: Advanced Game Design. We experimented with the concept of Flow by creating mechanics that allowed freedom and exploration.
I helped Autobahn Adventures re-design their website to better showcase their amazing driving tour vacations and help customers start the booking process.
